In 2019, Jessie passed by a stand at a farmers market selling herbs. She bought some thyme and mint. Then she bought some tomatoes. And then she was hooked. She started to learn how to grow vegetables from seed on her small raised balcony of her townhouse. She intensively grew in containers on her front porch and was able to produce a few hundred tomatoes, pounds of beans, eggplant, lettuce and more. In 2022, she grew for the first time in non-containers and continues to expand her flower growing experience into 2023!

Eric is here for all of the vehicles he gets to operate that go along with a farm. Jessie is here for the free labor that he provides, from helping drive the tractor to moving heavy soil crates. Having been trained in French Culinary Cuisine at the Ritz Escoffier in Paris, Eric loves how starting from seed means he gains access to non-conventional ingredients. Besides helping Jessie with the cut flower farm, Eric is a realtor working in Central NJ.

Chance is a 5 year old pitbull rescue. He loves to play fetch while Jessie and Eric are out working on the farm. But once in awhile, he does help out. He’s great at helping us pull wheelbarrows of compost and greeting anyone who comes to the farm. He lives for pets and belly rubs!
